Love in the Technological Age is not the easiest to navigate.
Presenting our perfect selves, obsessions with interactions, likes, comments, shares, bantering back and forth via text with 140 characters and emojis - how is anyone supposed to have a meaningful interaction with this device between us.
Are dating sites ruining the act of dating - is Tinder the Hot or Not of the 21st century?
Can we be as compelling in person when we can't just delete a stupid comment like a text before we hit send?
Nothing is fully figured out but the conversation is started and now you can join.

Ariana Grande's terrorism attack is sad w/ Jesse Mogle

A tough topic to cover but one that I had to speak on the day after the attack. I was not as knowledgeable about Muslim/Islam when I spoke about the attacks so I don't always sound intelligent during this episode.
Muslims are the people who follow Islam - like Christians follow Christianity. The fact that it's two different words seemed foreign to me the day I shot this but is one I have understood for some time.
This episode was hard to discuss for many reasons - death of people being among them. Plus there is the added fear or knowledge that if I say something wrong, wether I realize it at the time or not, then someone down the line will hear this, say I'm an a-hole and tear me up and down the street for my error.
So here's to those who died senselessly in Manchester, for everyone who has died because of terrorism, for everyone who has died because humans still fight religious wars mellenia after they started.
To you and yours - bless you.

In this episode I discuss life in LA and how I strive to hold my patience even when a slow walker in staring at their phone in a cross walk.
Apologies for the bad audio. I figure out what happened and fixed it but the show most go on - or in this case, the show must be posted.

Soylent is Interesting with Jesse Mogle

Soylent is named after the old school movie called, "Soylent Green." If you don't remember that movie, the post-apocalyptic drama is set in the near future and the human population has gotten so far out of control we're having a hard time feeding ourselves. So, we eat humans once we have turned their remains into a smoothie.
Yum!
I tried it for a week and lost five pounds. In this episode I talk about how Soylent and products like it could be an answer for our every growing planetary nutrition needs.

Procrastination is Interesting w/ Jesse Mogle

Deadline procrastination is easier to manage as you know, at some point, the deadline will get near and you'll go into freakout mode and actually start getting the work done you were supposed to hours, days or even weeks and months ago.
But what of life plans/goals procrastination? When you are the one setting out these plans and you are the only one you have to hold yourself accountable toward then when does the Instant Gratification Monkey get frightened off by the Panic Monster.
We are all Rationale Decision Makers, well most of us anyway, but when there's not a deadline looming what motivates you to take the plunge and do what you've always dreamed of accomplishing?
Check out this TED Talk to see how I came up with this podcast topic.
